The International Kelly Family Forum

Today I get a message from my hoster that I allmost reached the bandwith for this month.

I think it has nothing to do with visitors who visit the forum only for The Kelly Family. Lately on all kind of forum's there are robotusers online who read the forum letter by letter. There is allmost nothing that people can do to it.

Example yesterday I used 3 GB of traffic (monthly I have 60 GB), this mean there are 40 people who read the whole forum. This is allmost impossible.

What can I do:

1. Make the whole forum members only, only members can read
2. Delete verry old posts, this means that postcounting will be lower

I think that I start with the 2nd option because there are lots of posts that are out of date.

So when you visit the forum and you get an error it could be the reason of what I tried to explain above.

I think option 1 is better Robert,
I believe that everyone has to be a member to read what we all write, some things are a bit more "private" of course nothing is on a forum but you know what I mean right?

To be honest, I agree with Dionne, for the same reasons: some things we post here are rather private.

I agree with Dionne too.

Sometimes I look at "who is online" and I see "guests" reading things like "pregnant" and then I think to myself, a total stranger is looking at my pics or stories you know? Not that I know any of you in real life but again...you know what I mean right?

Daily life, talk in your language and Kelly games is now only readable for members

No my number of posts is the same, but I do miss about 200 "thank you's'

I agree that the option 1 is much better, I think the whole forum should be private.

I delete about 1200 posts from 2008 and 2009 (for example I be offline)
And I recount and rebuild the thank you system because there where problems (double thanks)

I think the problem is that last days there where constantly around 100 guests at the same time online (strange thing is that they almost all are reading the same topic at the same time!!!) That surprised me and it's really weird because normally we're counting around 100 guests per 24 hour.
For example you can see at the who was online list that the last 24 hours there where 1103 guests who visited and read our forum.
Really really strange and inexplicable because normally that is for already years around 100 guests per 24 hour!!

Anyway I think it's time to renew some large topics and I'll start today with the "thinking topic" and some other topics.
