yep but she have really beatifull voice when she was young now she is more pretty but have not pretty stoprng voice i prefer more this o ld patty ........

Honestly, I don't find it too bad... She's got her problems with the high notes, as always. Her voice above the high c is not that strong (and not just recently). But at least she hits the notes correctly. This is way better than screaming it out (which she used to do - is that what you mean by "strong"?). And remember: "An Angel" is a ballad and no rock song. Just my opinion. Nixweiss

@Red shoes - her strong voice, I think she had in "Santa Maria" (live live live album) ... so if you compare these two (Santa Maria from "Live" album and this "An angel") songs, and her voices in them... Well... I don't like it. And yes, I prefer her singing the way she sang in "Life is hard enough" than what she's doing now... Just my opinion

I agree with @Red shoes that this song doesn't sound so bad.... It as a ballad after all and I think Patricia's gentle voice suits it very well!

But it is a fact that Patricia's voice is not what it used to be, which is absolutely normal and to be excpected with approximately three concerts per month... Sad

My musical education is very weak and I always thought that music is for ordinary people first, not for experts so I really have no intention and won't say wheather she used to be better or has actually gotten better or how many notes she hits. Her old performances, such as 'Life is hard enough' used to have much more energy and used to be much more vibrant and yes - strong and the teenagers in the crowd didn't really mind the fact that most of Kellys were actually screaming and most of the times I don't mind neither. After all, The Kelly's musical abillities were not so technical and musically correct lots of times. So I do agree with you @Babausis!

Well, I see lot of people have mixture feelings from Patricia's voice Nixweiss

It's true she sang in different way but I still like it. It seems her voice is just more mellow.

@blocky, I think lot of fans realized soon or later that Kellys aren't so technically developed singers. I think their power was and still is in emotions. Babydust

And for me emotions are better than cold singer with great technical talent.

In the end of February I will be here back with my report. I'm really curious how she is live.

You are both right of course. And that's exactly why I'm a fan too. They are good singers (although technically not always perfect). The point I was trying to make is that Patricia actually has become better (I bet, she got a bit of extra training for the musical, too). That was meant as a compliment. I'm not saying that their voices sounded bad back then, and I also like the power of "Life is hard enough". But a soft voice isn't necessarily worse than a strong one. It depends on the song really, and with "An Angel", I just thought it suited the song very well. I think, also a technically perfect singer can still put a lot of feeling into a song.
Another thing is certainly the kind of show she's making: This show is calm and quiet, and the audiece is quite small. This isn't a big party concert like Loreley - it's quite a different thing.

I actually enjoy even the way she sings now, I think in the lower tones her voice still sounds as awesome as it used to... I just enjoy the sound of her voice Big Grin

Kellys might not be technically perfect but 1) they have the right emotions... I always believe them why they're saying 2) their abilities as composers are absolutely excellent

And Patricia not knowing the lyrics to "You're Losing Me" ...we all know she always has problems with remembering the lyrics! Her memory is kind of like the opposite of Paddy's amazing memory I think Big Grin

(no offense Patricia, we love you :-)) When I went to her solo-concert, she forgot some lyrics of First Time... I found that very sweet :-D

But also, You're Losing Me is her song and she can also intentionally change the lyrics however she wants to Wink
